[clearsky] Thursday sitting and more

Hello Zen-ers,

It is crunch time here at U of I for spring semester,
but I thought I would send an invitation to everyone. 
We are holding our regular Thursday night sittings at
7 pm for the next three weeks (and on into the
summer).  If you are lacking focus but have lots to
do, consider a sitting.  This Thursday in particular I
will be studying after the sitting if anyone would
like to join me, location to be determined.

Also, plans are in the works for another Open Sesshin
since the one on March 1st was so successful.  We are
planning a Finals Sesshin on Thursday, May 1, most
likely from 10 am - 2 pm.  This is Reading Day, so
there should be no classes in session and it is the
day before finals begin.  This is an opportunity to
try longer sittings interspersed with periods of
walking meditation and samu (zen-mind work, in our
case studying).  You may bring your own lunch as we
will be near the kitchen.  I will send a confirmation
email of these activities next week.
